So this old truck has been sitting and rotting in my yard since it was last used in '08. I've been wanting to get it running for a while. So I drug it out to see what it needs.
Engine is a FE 390 and isn't stuck.
    Think it will run?

It will run again. Those FE engines are tough . Make sure the oil is getting to the rocker arms .

I pulled the plugs and shot some oil in the cylinders. Pulled the carb for a rebuild. The gas is nasty so I will be dropping the tank at some point also.
Little back story on this truck. My dad bought it new as a cab/ch***is and built the wood bed himself. It came with a 254 flat head 6. In the 80's we put in a Y block and when that blew up we put in the 390. Finally the truck had some power! Would p*** anything but a gas station, as pop's would say....

It didn't take much to get her to fire up. Carb rebuild and a temporary fuel tank and she's purring like a kitten. Exhaust manifold gaskets are non existent, so she's pretty loud.
Brakes are dry.... and I need to find some better wheels and tires
I tried to scrub off some of the moss and sap. Kinda better...
