Would you guys offer your expertise and thoughts on the older style superchargers, please? I've been researching the Oberhausen, but I'm curious if the Frenzel also was lacking in expectations? I need any paper work you'd be willing to share on either one of these. Thank you. I'm new to the HAMB family, and I'm very appreciative of the vast knowledge that's on here. I'm restoring/upgrading an Oberhausen right now. Better starter built more robustly, possibly more ratio, and o-ring the impeller top to the base. Will it work? I've failed before, but not without trying at least. Wade wadeowens2007@yahoo.com
Someone already asked about those electric blowers a few weeks ago, it boils down to that in order to make any meaningful boost it would require battery cable vaporizing amperage levels. Stuff the gimmicky Oberhausen on your mantel for display and go with the Frenzel which actually increases power output.
I met some chaps from Australia at Bonneville. They are reproducing the Frenzel Supercharger. I was impressed. There are very few originals around. https://www.frenzelsupercharger.com/
