    the exotics are super cool, Roto-Faze, Du-Coil, Spalding, Kong, etc, and I've run a couple of them but my cars tend to get driven. I'd have a hard time justifying using up rare parts just getting around.
    I like the Scintilla based magnetos, Vertex, Hunt, Ronco etc for their reliability, low maintenance and serviceability.
    and while they are easier to find they are still at least a little exotic.

    I agree with the Vertex magnetos comment. All 3 are Ronco. The one in the center is for a mopar, or a Hilborn drive that also drives the fuel pump. Don’t have a picture of the drive base…

    My lay-down Vertex converted to right angle drive (Boston HLK-101Y bevel gears) to enable me to use a crossflow head on my six-banger Comp Roadster adv23t086 (2).jpg .
