I'm sure this was already posted, and I actually like it! Any older guys remember a similar first Gen Mustang show rod like this, only covered in flames and possibly chopped? It's caricature was a masthead in early seventies Popular Hot Rodding magazine, and was also in an ad. Incidentally, since the nosecones and wing were a kit, some of you may remember Bob McClurg of late seventies Hot Rod Magazines' Project Mustang build up, finished and shown in August '79 issue, but at one time wearing the wing from this kit....

Seen at a car show yesterday:

At first I thought it was an early 70s dune buggy/Fad T mashup. Then I noticed that the body was all cardboard and tape…

I think it’s pretty cool. But how do you open the hood? With a “box cutter”??

I’m fairly confident I saw that Mustang in Reno a few weeks ago at Hot August Nights.
It had a Hemi in it, looks to be a older build.
He brings it to HAN every year.

My grandmother had a 64 Chrysler Saratoga 2-dr with a 383. Loved that car, but probably not the nicest Mopar in the looks department. Wonder if he kept the push-buttons for the trans? lol!

I found the specific Mustang I was looking for ... it's a true street freak!! I'd love seeing it in color, Canadian Xavier Miron's wild '67 Mustang! IMG_20250827_111031068.jpg

Is that why "show cars" don't show up if there is a chance of rain? Afraid they will melt?

Sometimes you wonder if they were “painted with water-colours”.

With my car it's more that I don't want the interior to get soaked because of all the leaks.
