Hot Rods Can anyone identify this canister

    Bought a 62 Grumman van and found this in a cupboard. A can with a solenoid and a barb fitting on it.

    Looks like it could be part of an old cold start setup for a diesel.

    Did the van have “Free Candy” written on the side? Any oxygen type masks in there?

    maybe it's a cold start setup that works on gas engines...ether is like that!

    Crack it open and give it a smell. Helium has none, ether is distinctive.
