Realizing only a few are out there but hoping someone might have a reputable source for insurance purposes to establish a value on my sport coupe, auctions, private or commercial, modified or original, current or past examples considered, photos or contacts if available. Thanks, Ron
I'm dealing with an at fault insurer on the value, I provided (2) original examples which were middle of the road restorations listed for sale & they reduced the advertised value on both for some odd reason then averaged the two for a settlement claim, this was an inattentive rear collision at interstate speeds with damages exceeding the 75% threshold for repairs.
I agree the 5w values are & can be north & south of a sport coupe that in all reality is an odd ball being the last of the state side production, some but probably few might pay more.....
Have you checked out "Old Cars Price Guide" with google on the internet? I don't know abut its accuracy but it's another source. Charlie Stephens
How come your insurance carrier hasn't came to your rescue? Isn't it their job to defend you? You probably had one of the nicest 32 Sport Coupes in the country? I'm thinking 75-80 K. Tell the other guys insurance company to buy you a comparable car. I'm a bulldog when it comes to dealing with at fault insurance companies. No nice guy, bury them. This should have been settled a long time ago.
