    DONE!
The best part is it's my neighbor that sees me first and when I'm done I get to watch TV while he charges his ELECTRIC:confused:lawn mower just to finish his little yard.

Just happened on this shot of the Bomber station in Milwaukie Oregon, says 1957.
Sorry, F-book wouldn't let me copy the full size version.

Got it running pretty quickly, PO said it hadn't run in 10 years or so. Needs a radiator so that's in the works. PO bought it 40 years ago as you see it (minus the front bumper) he just maintained and enjoyed it all these years - he even had the original add from 1985

It's a typical hot rod from that period - looks like it was a racecar put back on the street - the ladder bars were hacked off, it looks like there was a pinned on hood or tilt nose at one time and there are still ball joints spacers in it..... underneath there are signs of various brackets and cross members that once littered the frame. When it was "restored" it got a '74 350 and '65 Muncie.

Not sure if I'm going to keep this one - once I sort it out and have some fun it may be for sale

I took this from the "artistic photos" thread, pretty neat artwork.

^^^I count 5 employees at that station. You can trust your car to the man that wears the star, but if they can afford 5 wages, I wouldn't trust the pump prices.

There no doubt are a couple of "hang arounds" in that bunch, ask me how I know!

Yet the price of gas back then was around $0.25 per gallon and that included full service, pump the gas wash the windshield and check the oil check the tires if asked, so I don't think the pump prices were exorbitant.

We can't see the pump prices in the drawing, and it is a sketch, not exactly historical data. I worked as a petroleum transfer engineer while a boy, there was 2 of us on the island at maximum, one in the garage on some nights. The night I was robbed I was the only one there. The thief got some gas and maybe 40 dollars. I didn't check his oil, but he didn't check under the till drawer. I seem to recall getting new ET mags shortly thereafter. Non related, of course.

Those two hoodlums working the coke machine no doubt were using slugs. And I'm not talking 'bout the***** the French eat.
