Technical 54 Chevy oil pressure gauge

Hey.

If someone has a sbc in a 54 Chevy and an aftermarket oil pressure gauge shows 40psi..

Where would the needle be on the factory dash oil pressure gauge? Directly in the middle?
Has anyone had both hooked up at the same time to see?

Is it a car or truck?

and does it have a number on it, like 60, at the high end?

I seem to recall that 1953 chevys with splash lube had a 30 psi gauge, and 54s with pressure had 60 psi gauge. But look at it and see what you have.

 

53 with a automatic will be not be a dipper

 

For some reason I’m saying 30 for the middle.
