Projects 53 Chevy Bel Air "Cleetus" mild custom daily driver

Discussion in 'Traditional Customs' started by The Chevy Pope, Sep 15, 2023.

  1. And today I got the idea to do a video of me redoing the paint on the splash pan. Like following the paint gun. Almost done with the video and the pan. Wasn't passing up such a hot day with such high uv rays levels lol

It’s a toasty one out there! If you can avoid the wind you’ll be set

Yeah, that '57 grill bar looks sharp. Really cleans up the front end. GM should've done that but, then again, it wouldn't be so cool now.

  5. I love how it gives off a vintage model car vibe lol. When I do it it'll be deeper in the grill opening

  9. Well been dealing with some health stuff. Had a unexpected couple months of surprise narcolepsy. But finally got the third wheel in primer IMG_20250831_201727964.jpg

  12. Wish whatever I had wrong with me had waited a few months. I'm way behind on everything lol. This wheel took me over a month to paint

  14. Oh well I'm working on switching jobs and renting a garage to work out of. So hopefully should catch up lol

  15. This one already has a fairly new tire. Has like 3 miles on it but is two years old. I'm not going to bother breaking this one down to paint. I'll just tape and spray. Already got the paint stripped IMG_20250903_184058022.jpg

Glad Your up and doing better.

  18. I'm just glad to be motivated to do anything. Even when I wasn't asleep I didn't feel like doing much

  19. And paintage lol. Let it cure overnight in the garage before putting back on the car IMG_20250904_161008120.jpg IMG_20250904_181656252.jpg IMG_20250904_204151404.jpg

  20. The decrepit green seat has been bugging me awhile. Took a $5 dollar store bed sheet and "fixed" it lol. Then put my Mexican blanket back on IMG_20250911_200335112.jpg IMG_20250911_200321490.jpg

  21. I do wish I had an ashtray for the back of the seat with nicer chrome

  22. Never was happy with how the trunk paint came out. Gust of wind has knocked a bunch of trash in the paint. So it looked good but felt bumpy lol. Ill mask it off and respray it tomorrow IMG_20250913_184222805.jpg

  26. Coming up on last coat. A tiny bit of trash got back in it but nothing I won't be able to fix with clear coat later. Definitely happier this time lol IMG_20250914_174941986.jpg

  27. Appears I timed painting the trunk just right IMG_20250915_150350694.jpg
