I'll post pics this weekend before we pull it up. It's basically a car graveyard, that nobody else is stupid enough to try to get anything out of. It's a couple hundred feet down a pretty steep slope.

  7. ...an how bout that 50 Ford coupe they pulled out of that lake near Madison Wisconsin...whatever happened to that?

Actually there were some pictures posted, and I remarked how I thought I knew where they were. And it turned out I was right, and I went on to say what a sleezeball the seller is (from past experience).... and lo and behold interest sort of faded. I thought the "rush to get in line for a '32" was pretty funny though.

What ever happened to that Hoffa guy? They ever find him?

The rest of the stories, i'd like to hear about too. But you know what they say, the best laid plans of mice and men... I bet some of those cars turned out to be a lot more difficult to get than originally thought. Momma Earth wants her iron back!

Kinda off topic, but I've heard of an entire group of tanks, along with all the gas, oil, etc to run them was buried near Lake Havasu, AZ sometime during WWII. They were put there to protect them from the enemy, to be dug up in case of an invasion from the West Coast.

  29. I don't think the 1950 Ford was raised from the lake in Madison, WI. The genral concensus was that it was too deteriorated and would break apart.

Apparantly the car was on its roof and fairly well buried in the silt at the bottom of the lake.
