Appreciate the offer, but I think I'd rather long haul the T than go through TSA and squeeze into a 'seat'. :D 5.jpg

  2. We will happily pick you up. That’s what Lloydfest is all about.

How perfect was that? A 57 ford wins the torch of a man who lives and breathes 57 fords. Kizmet!

Next year, take the picture before the cork gets pulled!

Today was the first chance I had to catch up on LF3 as I was out on the coast at an event and had no internet in our campground. I have to say it looked like a ton of fun and I'm glad you all made it there and home safe and sound...well safe anyway.

Congrats to the award winners. @The_Cat_Of_Ages , enjoy that trophy. Love the picture of it on your car. They were fun to build but the real fun is seeing people enjoy and appreciated them.

@Lloyd's paint & glass , nice party brother. Glad to play a small part in your festivities. Sorry to see your ass in a sling but you don't seem like the kind of guy that let's a little mechanical failure detour you from the fun in life. You are a good host, and it looks like everyone feeds off your energy. Sorry I have never made it out that way.

Long live the HAMB and all you crazies that make this a fun place to waste time and data plans.

  8. hey next year he should break the car BEFORE lloydfest so we can fix it up while the event is happening!

  9. i think that was the bucket yes... im still unpacking things lol. just got the car kinda fixed up advance is reset to about 10 degrees. these spark plugs are super overheated from when the distributor was retarded, i wire brushed them but i think theres no taking the heat damage out of them.

oh also @alanp561 thank you so much for the grinding wheels and wire brushes. dont think i didnt forget your kindness. they'll be put to good use.

  10. bucket saved mine too. i was a dumbass and opened the cap... used coca cola and the cleaning sponge to wash the windshield off.

Yeah, I am. Alyn and I ran nothing but two lanes all the way to Knoxville, then about 10 miles of interstate and then back on surface roads. I will say parts of the KY 89 snake trail might be a lane and a half. Transmission hung up in some little town and a guy got off his porch to walk over to see if he could help. We rocked the car back and got the tranny loose. There are nice people all over the place. I was a little more careful shifting from there on. We had a good time, even with the rain. Looking forward to next year.

Thanks for having us and you're very welcome. Kentucky's not the only place where they know how to make whiskey.

Well I just went back thru last 5 pages... Where should I start? EXCELLENT!! that 20250905_124431.jpg 20250905_124431.jpg 20250905_124431.jpg 20250905_124514.jpg 20250905_124533.jpg just about sums it up...I ended up missing a lot of stuff which was on Saturday 'cuz I chose to go on a trip to see the area- ( there was no poker run due to rain..) I ended up breaking down about 10 miles away from Lloydfest. More about that later... I just want to thank Lloyd for the awesome time and all the work he did to organize and grt this thing to work... Ok time for some pics... Friday- arrival day for me.

  23. i should get a small camping trailer... would add extra fun.

--Saturday sorta rainy... I decided to go for a little ride- I'm actually glad I did, cuz otherwise I wouldn't have known I had a problem. Or did I create the problem?? I left LF to go see the area, raining pretty good, went down past Lloyd's shop ( nice shop!) about 5 miles and decided to turn around at a gas station. Filled up w about 5 gals. Headed back and only about 1/2 mile down road truck started stumbling. Got worse and soon wouldn't pull itself. Pulled off in a little trailer park. I thought it was same problem I had last year- (sucked up something in tank and couldn't get gas to fuel pump)- but it wasn't this time. Did I get some bad gas? Water? I blew it back w a small air compressor. Problem was in Carb. So I took off top of Carter YF 1 bbl carb and looked over, etc. Put back together and still the same.. I found if I adjusted choke to about 1/2 closed it would rev some. So by now I am totally soaked-(sure I glad I had my hooded jacket). But could make it back to LF.
--I think this is when trophies, etc were being given out, I think, I decided not not bother anyone and took carb off and brought in to my trailer. Took top off again and tried to do a better check. Got it back together and I could hear my name being called so I went up and did a hand of Texas Holdem with everyone. Randy ( High test 63) asked me where I had been? I told him and he wanted to help. It finally stopped raining. He came over and we put carb back on and it still was fucked up. I was all discouraged and started looking for a carb on line ( AutoZone said $414.00!!) So now Randy sorta took over and I was so glad to have him do it, I was wet, tired and grumpy!! He took carb apart on my tailgate as it wasn't raining. Put all back together and still fucked. By this time festivities at pavalion was over and others came to help. (continued next post)

Then Tim, Enloe, Mike and sons, Ron, Gary and Mary, and others came over. Mike started to set the carb up and he got it to run pretty decent, somehow... so I felt much better...
