Hahaha! Yeah this one has gone really quick. It makes a difference when a guy has a credit card with very little limits and help from a son that loves to learn how to build hot rods.i wish I had the funds to do this for my own projects.

IMG_4600.jpeg IMG_4609.jpeg IMG_4608.jpeg IMG_4607.jpeg Lots of little stuff getting done. Pulling wires, have the taillights both on with custom brackets, did some patina paint on the wheel tubs and license plate frame and finally got wood for the bed- red zebrawood. I will start the bed wood after it acclimates in the shop for a few weeks.

I really like what you are doing with this truck, nice job. I think that you need to apply a few patina "dents" to the new wheel tubs, ya know for that authentic look :).

I don’t think I can bring myself to it.

  6. The steel is so thick that patina is not a structural issue.

Got the bed wood cut and fit. Still have to rip the edges for the bed strips and then sand and sand and then sand some more. IMG_4612.jpeg IMG_4611.jpeg

Got some interior parts back for the painter. Started doing the wood bed and Mother Nature decided to make it rain for the better part of the week so I’ve been putting the dash together. IMG_4645.jpeg IMG_4647.jpeg IMG_4648.jpeg

Nice work on the ol truck, like the extra meat out back too.

Well it quit raining long enough to get the bed boards sanded and one coat of spar varnish on them. Raining again so more waiting. IMG_4666.jpeg IMG_4667.jpeg

Coat number three on the surface two on the bottom. Top is smooth as a baby’s butt. Five-six coats total so I’m about half way there. IMG_4669.jpeg

Got the dash, steering column , header, rear cab panel and head liner installed the last few weeks. The majority of the wiring has been run and my son Brooks aka greenblade on the hamb helped me get the rear window installed today. IMG_4647.jpeg IMG_4699.jpeg IMG_4704.jpeg IMG_4705.jpeg

Really love this build, always wanted to do a 55-59 with truck arm rear suspension.

This is the best picture I have. Basically cut the two frames in half l, shitcanned the original 46 back half and welded the c-10 to the back. IMG_4575.jpeg
