Looking for answers on the differences between 33-34 Australian Roadsters and the US versions. I know the Australian versions had wood sub rails, is the sheet metal different. Pictures would definitely help. Thanks, Gary

The whole bottom edge is different. The rockers are higher and used that gap filler wedge.

For some reason I thought the doors were shorter on the Aussie ones.

I think they are, notice the tapered panel from the A pillar to the rear fender under the rocker.

heres some Aussie 34 roadster measurements, i believe the doors are shorter and the quarters therfore longer, as i have lower patch panels from a us supplier and they are about 1.5 inches or so too short for my aussie roadster, I belive the door hinges are different as (i know they are) they are shaped like a cartoon beehive, and an easy way to spot an original Aussie 34),the bodies stashed away and a bit hard to get at ,at the moment,,, ill try and dig it out for pics, its rare as rocking horse S£$t over here ,its just waiting for a descent frame and then ill start on it....34 frames are way overpriced downunder, and Aussie guys call the body to running board filler panels "Spears" down here

the pink one in the photos isnt a good representation of an aussie roadster unless its a coach built one,,the carson top goes way further back than an original, set of top irons ,note the press studs and top iron pivots in the usual spots but roof way back over the decklid,,, id say its been converted for 2 rear seats,,,,although the photo looks like a local house i know at Valla rod run, but could be wrong, but it does have the honey pot hinges
Ive been lead to believe only 1000 made over 33 34 and very few V8s ,,,both my cowls are 4 cylinder spoon gas pedals still in tact

well you learn something new every day, ive heard of Club and Opera coupes with folddown sideways seats in the back in the 37 to 40range but had no idea it was an option in 34,,any ideas where the body was built / assembled by?
