After a rather short and unsuccessful period here in 2020 , I was delighted to see, just now, that my membership is still alive and breathing, as well as all you fine ffolkes.. In my addled mind I figured my account was gone. I have been hovering and reading from time to time although , but after the debacle of 2020 I've gone dark. It started all with a question about a 1958 American 4wd (that I was eyeballing and considering transforming into a 2wd gasser as I saw in Hot Rod magazine once) , and that post got deleted and then I foolishly asked why (?) and what classifies as "period correct" or "acceptable" here, and a string of words and replies soon followed , the most memorable being persistent cries of ZZZZZIIIINNNNKKKKYYYYY!! , as I recall from a guy named Van Der Plastic or something like that. My handle is still proudly Zinky, (a childhood nickname bastardization of my last name, Zimmerman). I still collect vintage speed parts, I love the late 50s and early 60s , I hate billet , love straight axle gassers, fuel altereds and I even have two 1965 or earlier cars and and NONE of them are 4wd or foreign (as my '58 Thames gasser was). Glad to meetcha, again.
Welcome back. Hope that you lurking for all this time you have a better feel for what the HAMB is all about. Although the guidelines are pinned at the top of the HAMB forum and the top of the New Here? Introduce Yourself section, the lines can sometimes be blurry. The mods and others will usually guide you if you go astray. Just like walking into a blue collar bar in a three piece suit, you can still be welcomed if you behave and can hold a decent conversation.
Well … ZINNNNNNKKKKKKKYYYYYYY !!!! I have ZERO recollection of doing anything like that to you. And if it was me I’m truly sorry for have you bugger off from Hambland due to my zany antics. The rules are black and white here , how they are followed are every shade of grey imaginable. any who , welcome back , and apologies for what I did and possibly what I’m gonna do .
