    It's not about how fast you can go, it's about how close to the edge of adhesion can you get and how long you can stay there. Yah, grinning ear to ear.

    I don't have a clue as to what the speeds are, even the small Austins and such look like they are so much fun, especially when drifting through the chicanes. HRP

    Interesting to see how the mode in which many of the chassis of this era lose it is sudden oversteer. It's what I've predicted based on rearward weight bias, wide rear spring base, and as yet poor understanding of lateral weight transfer vs. spring rates. There was a theory then current about why a lot of camber on the front helped for that, but it turns out it was wrong.

    They thought it was about road crowns. Road crowns were something of an obsession then. It was actually about counteracting weight transfer to the outside rear tyre.

    But that is vraiment ma tasse de thé!
