I'm posting this in the "Traditional Hot Rods" forum since the Banger Meet Thread is here so mods if this needs to be moved, feel free. The North Central Division of "F.A.S.T." (Ford "A" Speed Technology) held their yearly event on Saturday Sept. 6 in Northwood IA. I did not get the chance to take in the actual speed trials this year but I did crash the earlier get-together party at the Worth County Fairgrounds. Snapped pics, talked to a few folks and drooled. Some fine machinery there. I'll add more pics as I get the chance, and if any of you four-cylinder folks that were there have pics feel free to add them as well. Enjoy!
I had the chance to take in this event for the first time in 2021 and loved it. Wanted to get back for a return visit and this was the year. There's a lot I don't know about current banger tech and the current four-cylinder scene, but I'm engrossed in the history. Great stuff. If you'd like to read the story of my first visit, you can go here: Our Roots: The Iowa Four Cylinder Speed Trials – Terry's Garage More pics to come.
A few more - these were taken as the cars left the fairgrounds to head uptown for a reserved spot at the Aristocrats Founders Day car show.
