I hope this is a good place to post this, I have acquired aprox 1,000 old magazines, streetrod, hotrod, trucks, vans and motorcycle magazines. Dating back as far as 1966 from what I have seen. All are I would say in aprox 7-8 out of 10 range. I am looking for Ideas as far as if anyone knows who may be interested in purchasing all of them. I would be willing to possibly deliver or meet halfway. I see on Ebay prices range from 10-15 bucks a piece.. thanks for the input...
Ebay prices on magazines to me are worthless. If you seen how many old mags I've followed on ebay that never sold the number would be astronomical. Use advanced search and highlight sold items you'll see what I mean. I followed a mag on there for over 2 yrs before I stopped watching it. It's price? 9.95 I've bought quite a few on there thru the years on all different ***les and years and never paid more than 5 bucks shipped. Maybe if there is are some rare and highly desirable ones in the collection you may get more but to think they will bring 10 to 15 a piece I think your going to be disappointed.. ...
I donated mine to the local high school auto shop cl***es, they were happy to get them...and I even got to take a charitable tax deduction.
i have never had any luck selling old car magazines, unless it was the time I had late 40s, early 50s HotRod. they went quick
I sold a collection of magazines & books from an estate few years ago. Model T, A, Hotrod, Vintage Chevrolet Club & Falcon club magazines. Dates ranged from 1950’s to 1990’s. One was a complete set of the Vintage Ford from 1965-2002, all nice neat and chronologically organized. This set sold for $150 at Pate. But I would say that was a lucky exception. I would say I was able to sell 25% of the magazines and books. There’s some value in complete sets of any given year. But that’s only few dollars. Was hardly worth the effort. Majority were given away or recycled. All the books and random Model T Club Mags went to the local chapter of the Horseless Carriage Club. They were creating a library for the membership.
