I like that green so much that I showed it to Shery thinking it would be a good color for the (currently under construction) nailhead 4-sp 31 sedan. She poo pooed that. Said it was too fluorescent or something. Oh well. Even though she doesn't do manual transmissions and will probably never drive it I consider it hers so she gets to pick colors.

    9" engaged. Don't have axles yet. And I had to order a new driveshaft, another $400  20250919_143115.jpg 20250919_164735.jpg 20250919_164741.jpg 20250919_164758.jpg 20250919_165849.jpg 20250919_165904.jpg 20250919_170739.jpg 20250919_181507.jpg 20250919_181658.jpg

Ok, me too. 4.11s with a Detroit locker on the street and 4.56/spool for the track. Maybe you need to try that one sometime! I'm kinda hoping to find a 5.13 setup to try in the 1/8th mile.

    or an 80s porn movie........

The 9" is good and super low gear ratio for going a few miles to Cars & Coffee isn't a big deal. Wanting to do longer trips = Quick Change. I've got one of the big Speeway Engineering ones with a Detroit Locker in it. https://1speedway.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=72&product_id=104

They have the best prices on quality equipment... PERIOD! What I don't understand is how in the hell can they sell the same stuff that Strange does for 200 bucks less? I can drive 45 minutes to Strange Engineering and pick up the same center section and be charged 200 dollars more than what Quick Performance can ship it to the house for! It just don't make no sense!

I'm impressed. I was a little let down when I learned that they didn't go pick the stuff off of a shelf and ship it, but it's all good. I looked at the pattern on the gears, looks awesome, and feels fine. Of course I could've upgraded all of it, but for what it cost, I'm more than satisfied. A+++

I've lost 16lbs :D:D:D they emailed me this morning on the axles, said I'll have them by Friday. And the driveshaft shipped. Wait a few minutes for me to post it, and check out my new gasser in the off topic section  centerline wheels aren't accepted in these parts

Sounds like you will be back on the road soon.
Just a update from one of your loyal faller's that never gets their car done or out of the garage :D
I just got back from Rock Falls raceway and the Fallout Drags. Made 5 passes in the car, helped a fellow racer and didn't break anything. ;)
Now to your defense it did take me 7 years to get this one back on track. :(

I have another event in 2 weeks at Tristate Raceway but I do need to do some repairs on the car car before that.
