If your lower pulley is chrome or spun aluminum, rough up the belt grooves now, pulling it back off to do so will make a fellow pretty mad!

OK, help me out here. By this picture, the water pump hose connection is on the alt side of the motor. That means this picture is obviously not your current set up.
I would want to being both the alt and the compressor closer to the motor. Those belts are going to be very long, and I don't think the wrap around the water pump would drive both belts with out slipping.

Pulling off just the water pump is not recommended but is very doable IF have a belt pulling in the opposite direction. The newer compressors do not have the same strains on the systems as the older GM or York compressors. With that said if you plan on any long trips carry I’d an extra water pump.
I like the PS and AC on separate crank pulleys and only the alternator and water pump together on its own crank pulley.

Most rods seem to have the compressor on the right side so the hoses can run inside the frame rail and connect to the Vintage Air, or whatever, under the dash.

Aha! I wondered who would notice the water pump outlet. This actually is the current set up, what's not obvious is, the water pump doesn't go to the radiator ahead of it, it goes to my other radiator mounted out back!
The lower hose on the driver's side that's interfering with the belt goes to the rear radiator too!

Ok, now I’m intrigued. Two radiators? As someone who has one rear mounted radiator I have to ask why?

An $800 radiator in front of a small block Chevy motor and you still think you need another radiator in the rear as well?
Guess I'm too old school to understand this. I'll watch in silence from the corner from here on.

I agree but I also do some weird things myself that people scratch their head about,
Maybe @mohr hp would post on O-T side ?
    @ first post of pic's ,
I was thinking inlet coming from DS of Radiator then under harmonic bounce to p***enger side inlet of water pump,

I know this thing is unconventional, but I'm not trying to market it to the m***es. I haven't posted much about it here because it has a few glaring, non HAMB era pieces, but the overall build is trying to stick to a mid-70's vibe. So the reason for dual radiators is, it's a subcompact car that has a cute tiny grille with very small cross section, and I had to have a big block Chevy and air conditioning- I drive in Atlanta.

Thank you! The sad part is, I actually built many of the pieces twice!

There is now an off topic section on the HAMB. You should have this project moved over there where you can post everything about it, and the people that are interested will be more helpful.
