Last Friday I was at "Speedy Bill's" Museum of American Speed as the crack team was setting up for this Saturday's official public debut of the "Spirit of America". It had languished in a museum where it was poorly cared for too many years. "Speedy Bill's" amazing staff had told me it had even been cut apart to be moved in a freight elevator. It's in a great new home !!! The staff told me that this Saturday will be a celebration of this inspiring vehicle with many Land Speed Racing notables on hand. I hope a fellow hamb-er can swing by and get some better pictures. I struggled to get great pictures as they where still setting-up. Other notables in these shots Art Arfons 600mph + racer, Seth Hammonds killer Lakester, Wayne Jessels 260mph+ Dodge truck (hood open by the workman's cart)
