The overall tackiness wouldn't be complete without the Pep Boys sunroof. Gack.

The level of butchery we thought was ok in the 70's makes me laugh today. That 71 Cuda with 70 taillights (or 70 Cuda with a 71 front end?) with a Shaker hood, color keyed grill and a rubber bumper would be a high dollar piece today. It's a cool car but the t-tops are horrible.

I bought a 69-1/2 road runner that was cut all to **** for racing. We were discussing that "I bet you wish you hadn't done that now" "Well if I hadn't you wouldn't be buying it for this price" Fair I guess.

Back in the day, I had buddies worked at the local Ford dealer.
Someone traded in a clean 68 (or 69 ..it was a long time ago) Charger with a 383.
Due to the gas prices, the dealer could not sell it.
One of my buds asked about it and the sales manager gave it to him.
We knocked the windows out of it, put the gas tank in the back seat and hit the local 1/4 Oval.
Poor Charger was junk after one season of racing by 3 snot nosed kids who had no clue how to race.

Even though the fin is pretty ridiculous, Ya gotta admit that the paint is just off the charts.. I mean look at the detail of the "sunburst" on the *** end. How freakin long did it take someone to lay that out? geez...

As for mods back in the 70s we might not be proud of... How about replacing the headlights on a 1970 Challenger Convertible (383 Auto) with dual rectangular units from a 80s GM car? Yup, I said it...
