    The light is usually the white wire.

    Never seen one, nor any ads in magazines. Interesting! Wires listed above is correct as far as being the same as my Mallory; the blue wire, dunno?

    I'll take a guess and say the blue wire is for an external shift light.

    Well, since they are still in business, if you don't get an answer here I'd suggest contacting them directly.

    The ABOUT page is absolutely jam packed with corpo-speak gibberish, but 3/4 of the way down the page is this

    Thanks for replying, I had found one for Sale on another post that had Led me to the H.A.M.B.in the 1st place have tried all over the web to find any information. Keep getting links to EBay where they are selling Marine Tachs mad by Medallion or the Chevy dealer installed Tachs or the ones used in Ford Torinos.They call those "Ribbon" Tachs. but the other Medallion tack are all Traditional Round & if they have 5 wires they don't match Colors coming out of this one. Who knows if they will help, or even if it's the same company. But it's worth a shot. The design points to mid century before transistors took over fully. The History is similar.

    Did find the ebay tach with the same wire colors
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/286844282208
    and the old post here about one that seems to confirm contacting the company is not useful.

    Another avenue is to try locating vintage collectors. You can try to find vintage instrument collector forums or maybe try reaching out to one of these

    Cool. Does it say something in that top recess on each side? And what is the area on top for? They lights in there?

    My bet is the white is illumination. Usually is. Green coil signal. Blue? Can you take it apart? May be easy to see where those leads are headed

    The very top does comes off there are 2 Incandescent Screw in Bulbs behind Dial Face the movable Orange Red Marke has what appears to be a photo eye with light on one side & a Reciever for lack of a better term that is blocked by a black flag hanging down from the Green RPM Indicator Needle when it gets between the Orange/Red that flag blocks the light on the Orange/red and turn on 2 Soldered in series Bulbs on the Top Section of the Unit. Possible as a Shift light is unknown the Lens is Missing. I Was told via a Text on a Facebook Group & Shown A Picture of the same Unit only it was made by "Carat" not "Medallion" that was the Same alover but was Cased in Black not Chrome and had No Light at the Top of it so it was Just the height of te Face it also only had a Red Moveable Indicator & Green RPM Needle.
    That one's Wire Up was:
    Red= Swithced Power 6 or 12 Volt DC.
    Black= DC Ground.
    Green= Tachometer Coil Connection.
    Wite 12 Volt DC Light.
    Blue= 6 Volt DC
