this show has been going on for years and has grown by quite a bit. way too many big wheeled big brakes cars for my tastes but what can you do? here's a few 1958 Chevrolets.

My dad (RIP) always mentioned owning a 36 ford with some buddies that had a "bull nose" trim. Is that what you would call this?

 

that hood trim on this car was made by Fulton back in the day

a Bull Nose is a custom piece that takes the place of the hood ornament and in this case the Ford emblem as well. there was a company that made them for every popular car clear into the 50's. I have one for my 1949 Chevrolet

@49ratfink is correct...this one on bottom right is a smoothed hood ornament detail...no doggie, V8, the fancy curved accessory grilles above on each hood side are from Fulton and are referenced as Feathers...

This Thread on Fordbarn mentions them...both @ironandsteele and @KiWinUS are up on this stuff...apparently when the Pines Accessory trim goes on a 36 the Bullnose has to be shaved so that Custom Bullnose may have served that purpose as well...

There are a couple Threads on those Feathers but no ads were shared showing them for the Written Description...
