The spring that attaches the license lamp leveling rod to the light assembly on my '54 Ranch Wagon is missing in action. It might turn up but after 2 years or so from when it was disassembled by the original body shop guy I seriously doubt it. I found the rod so at one point the spring did exist. The Ford part number is BA-5940362-A. I've checked everywhere I can think off and no one lists it. Hoping that someone has one or at least a better photo so I can try to fab one. The spring in question is shown in the attached page from the Ford Body Parts book. As always, TIA

  3. I was missing a similar spring on a Caddy, couldn't find anything even close, so I epoxied a magnet to the inside of the door in the right spot, it hung on for many years.

Thinking about a regular spring with an offset bracket if I can't find a better picture or better yet the actual spring.

After tearing the shop half apart I located the spring. Good thing I did because it would have been difficult to duplicate even if I had an actual photo. IMG_20251002_090647791.jpg IMG_20251002_090703344.jpg
