  3. PXL_20251002_170947961.jpg Arrived without incident. Perfect weather for the whole weekend. Mid 80s no rain. We are set up.
Some of the things going on and why I haven't been posting. New car stands were made front and rear. They have a wide base. We were at a few tracks this year that had pit areas that were rough. The front stands almost fell over. A guy goes under the car after each pass to do a under car inspection and wipe down. We can't have stands falling over. These are heavy duty.
My crew guy was getting burned removing the oil. It was making a mess bringing it to the oil dump location.
A oil pan was made with high sides. It's tapered to drain. It has a magnet to hold the wrench. It has a large drain PXL_20251002_170953795.jpg plug. It's on wheels and has a handle. The handle slides in and out. It's like rolling a piece of luggage. It was a lot of work to make. My crew guy Jerry made them. The same guy that made the wheel tubs.
We have the data logger hooked up for this weekend. Finally.
We are using the radios for the first time to

Jerry done a fantastic job on the stands and drain pan looks like top notch stuff by that is how Jerry does stuff wish I could be there but I just couldn’t swing it this time good luck I’m hoping for another win tell everyone hi for me

  8. Your crew guy did a sweet job on those stands and oil pan; have fun this weekend. Looking forward to the updates.

  9. The stands are made out of schedule 40 material. That's about a eighth thick. They lift the car high enough so we can pull the pan and change bearings. We are going to make a tray next to hold the tools to change bearings.

Freeze framed that final round video. Brian's natural driver instincts played out perfectly on that pass. Congrats on the win!

  22. It was a crazy weekend. Q-1 Friday night a fitting on the Bruno failed spraying oil on the RT side tire. Things went bad fast. It's hard to drive on one wheel.
Q-2 the fuel altered I was racing hit a cone going into my lane. I had to get on the brakes.
E-1 was against the dragster I faced in the last races final round. He broke in the burnout box.
E-2 raced a fuel altered. At the hit I was gone. Never saw the car. I was told at the hit it jumped sideways almost rolling over.
E-3 raced Andy Fangmans cool nitro pro mod. He got the jump on me. Then I saw him shake the tires. I gained a lot of ground them things went really bad. A oil line broke loose. I could see he was having big time trouble. I got on the brakes hard. He spun around two times. After the second 360 he was going into my lane. We were going to collide. I moved as far left as I could and got back on the gas. I was just able to drive around him. As I went by I felt a bump from the rear. He touched my right rear tire. I kept it under control. I kept him in my rear view mirror until we made the turn off. I jumped out of my car and ran over to him. Seeing we were both ok we examined our cars. We also had a wow that was crazy moment. We talked about being safe and being able to go back home to our families.
Andy did a great job driving.
I made a very aggressive move going into the marbles and going deep into the throttle. You generally don't do that with a nitro car but it was my only option to avoid a crash.
It all worked out. More to come.

  23. Join me this Wednesday on nitro chaos live. I and two other guests will be on the show. It starts at 7pm CST. Tune in it's going to be a great show.

  24. I have mentioned my dear friend Roger Lechtenburg many times. He was at the race driving the Nitro Clown fuel altered. When I came back to my pit area there was Roger pumping his fist in the air. I gave him a crew shirt and off we went to the winners circle for pictures. I told the photographers the first picture is Roger and I. I gave him the trophy to hold I had the check. I told him I have waited a long time for us both to be in this position. He was not at MoKan he was watching it live. That picture taking moment meant more to me than points; checks or trophies. The master got to see his student win. PXL_20251005_012524201.jpg

Never drove a fuel car but always heard: if you get off the gas pedal, never hit it a second time will always blow up the motor from loaded fuel in engine. Any comments? Or were you lucky all around? Great job win some $ & avoid a crash. Any tire/rim damage?
