I don't think I was THAT neighbor....

 

We’ve probably all been That neighbor at one time or another, hell I’ve had a fight with city hall for twenty five years.

 

Even in our tiny rural Nevada county there is an ordnance about unlicensed vehicles that carries a $100 dollar a day fine. When asked about my "collection" by a county commissioner I said yes I probably owe about $1,000,000 but tell the person who made the complaint that in order to see the offending vehicles they had to be trespassing and trespassers will be violated.

 

Left lane disqualified... crossing the centerline !

 

Nope he's ON it, not across it. I've seen that happen on TV before. No DQ until you actually cross the line.

 

I don't know what class that jazzie is in, but as of '24 TF/FC touching the line is disqualifing. Maybe they are in the street/sidewalk class.

 

If you can’t keep it together at 3.5 mph what does it matter?

My property is zoned business (the only business property on the 15 block long street), and those are "customer's vehicles." Its been zoned that way for 60 years, and the business has been listed on the city books for 30 years, that is long enough it is grandfather protected from any new zoning requirements. Every time the city puts in a new code inspector, I have to inform them of the business status. I've been tested about every 4-5 years, most come by and apologize after reviewing the facts.
With the current business status in this State, the city pretty much lets most business ordinances slide, unless it has something to do with consumer health.

 

Nevada is 86% public land. There are few old Nevada families left. I if you bring enough money you can buy what you want from the politicians that have moved here recently. There is 300% more water rights that there is water. Some day soon Vegas & Reno residents will turn the faucet and just hear a sucking sound.
