that's OK since 50% of the cars in the "Kustom Blues" thread are not custom and belong here in the mild custom thread. you got to have more than lowering blocks to be Kustom with a K.

 

Well, not really. The scope of this thread was laid out in the origination post on page 1. Centurion9 defined it, looking for cars No Chops, No Channeling etc...

Now go look at Mick's first post in the Kustom Blues thread. He never said only post radical/wild kustoms. In fact, looks like in one of the road shots, there is a Pontiac (61?) that looks pretty mild.

I'm with you on a stock car with lowering blocks being out of place, but a true Mild Kustom is still a Kustom and can obviously be featured in the Kustom Blues thread, or the Definitive Mild thread.

But a chopped or channeled, or sectioned kustom should not be included in the Mild thread.

Keep posting cool kustom cars. They are the reason I'm on the HAMB.

 

I am coming up on 1,000 posts in the Kustom Blues thread. all but a handful (or 5 or six handfuls) are my own pictures I have taken over the last 35 years. over 90% are chopped. I only have 94 in the mild thread. nosed, decked, lowered, just a few with any serious modifications beyond frenched headlights or modified tail lights.
I figure since one has "MILD" in the title that's where they should go.
I'm running out of photos that have a thread for them. maybe I'll start a chop-n-channeled HOT ROD thread. chopped or channeled, or sectioned kustom should not be included in the Mild thread.

 

@49ratfink Thanks for contributing to both threads! I appreciate you sharing personal photos that you shot. Same thing goes for @PasoJohn. When you guys dump a load of photos, I look at my computer screen until my eyes get blurry. Only thing that makes them better is when car make/model, owner name, where shot at what event, etc... is included. The extra info makes them 'searchable'.

I miss Stanlow69's, Jim Stanley's posted pictures that he had stapled to his garage walls. I should reach out to his family and see if I could possibly scan them.

Since were in the Mild section, here is Jim's Dad, Jerry's former '51 Vicky, very mild, parked along side Jim's Caprice in the old park in Salina.

 

Great new avatar Bill (@54delray )! A nice nod to our late, and very well missed friend Jim (@stanlow69) Stanley. He is still heavy on my mind even though we are approaching the second anniversary of his passing. I think of him everyday..........E
