The Inglewood Oil Field, 100 years ago. Taken in the Baldwin Hills in 1925, somewhere in the oilfield that’s still there today. At this time, Inglewood had a population of about 4,000 people, but would surge to a whopping 19,000 by 1930 due to the boom in oil production.
