Has anyone else had a problem staying Logged On ? With my computer I have to log on every time, even when I click the stay logged on box. I hated to start a thread, just didn't know how to fix the problem. The other funny thing is my Cell Phone is not a problem, it works every time, but far too difficult to post.

I haven't had any issue even after being gone from my computer for several days while I went to a reuion with guys who were in my unit in Vietnam. I don't have the HAMB on my phone or the Chromebook thing I use for a laptop.

I did something wrong a while back and deleted all of my saved screen names and passwords on one browser. You might go to settings and Passwords and see if your info for the HAMB is there.

When you log into a website (such as the Hamb), the site puts a cookie on your machine; anytime you return, the site will look for that cookie. If the site doesn't find the cookie on your machine, it will compel you to log in again.

If you clear your computer's cache, the cookie goes away. So first question, have you done anything that might clear your cache? Have you changed your computer's security settings? Have you recently installed anti-virus software? Do you share the device with another user who might have done any of these things without your knowledge?

By the way, it's good practice to clear your cache periodically. I try to do it once a week. But that means reentering website passwords on your next visit. Newer devices are designed remember the passwords for you, which makes this easier.

Which brings us to another possibility: Is your operating system and/or browser severely out of date? Once they get too old, they can't keep up with modern websites. It's like taking a Maxwell out on the turnpike.

@ClarkH Has the 'issue' defined. The phone remembers because the settings allow the cookie to remain. Your computer settings have changed, either through your own actions or an update or new program added that changed them. I currently have mine set to clear all of this each time I end an internet browser session, so I log on each time after I close the 'internet'. Since I'm running an older Windows and a non default browser, it's pointless to share where and how this works for me. You will have to go into your computer's Settings and make the change. You should be able to search for your own Operating System (OS) and Browser and find tutorials to get this done.

Example: Here is one article about how to open Internet Options on Windows 10, which is being phased out this month, by the way.
    https://www.isunshare.com/windows-10/4-ways-to-open-internet-options-in-windows-10.html

I will mention that you need to understand what you are doing. If this is a new task for you, take notes of what the settings are first before making any changes. This way if it changes something you don't like, you can change it back.

  11. My understanding that only SUPPORT from Microsoft is being fazed out.

I think older [ think 10 years ] devices cause a lot of problems.

Correct. They aren't going to connect to your computer and remove the software. They probably aren't going to sell you a new copy, either.

@Marty Strode I'd suggest putting a sheet of paper and a pencil next to your computer. Write down any issues or questions you have until then.
Just like a car, a few different strange things will have different troubleshooting trees until you hear all of them together.

    The lights are dim.
    It's hard to start.
I had to wiggle the battery cable the other day.
Suddenly, you know exactly where to start, and it's not the light switch!
