Most likely the stuff mailed will just sit in Limbo until mail delivery resumes.

It's already resumed in a limited capacity. They are doing rolling strikes now.

Good Grief. If I totaled up all the money I have dumped into the cars, motorcycles and automotive projects in my long life the money spent on Rodder's Journal wouldn’t amount to a fraction. I moved and might have two subscriptions and just got the email asking to subscribe again. I’m going to do it as it helps a guy who has consistently produced the best hot rod magazine ever. I’m damn sure not wealthy but I will continue to support RJ as long as Steve keeps trying. I will never understand his business decisions and would certainly be more responsive to customers but the final decision for me is he puts out a quality product that I am interested in and I don’t really care about the cost as each issue is a bargain IMHO.

  9. As the person who started this thread I think that every one of us that have taken the time to post or comment on TRJ wish to support the continuance of by far the best hot rod magazine that has been produced, it just so frustrating that over the past few years various issues have combined to make its production so spasmodic at best, and to be fair, the communication to potential purchasers and readers has not been that great.
I really hope things will get back to how it was and this thread will disappear..........I look forward to many more issues & thank Steve ****an & the others who are involved in its production.....Andy Douglas

I have a lifetime membership so it costs me nothing to be positive and wait patiently. I contacted TRJ a long time ago and was willing to buy a new subscription if they decided not no longer honour the lifetime membership. I received a very quick response saying it would be honoured and I have received the few issues that have come out in the last few years.
Now So-Cal Canada here in BC is going to be carrying the new issues, if he gets them before I receive mine, I will just buy it from him and support both my friend and TRJ.
It is by far the best damn hot rod magazine I have ever read, the stories and history are second to none.
    Worth the wait.
I didn't start reading TRJ until I got my first subscription back around 2014. So I enjoy hitting the swap meets and buying old issues to slowly complete my collection and satisfy my weekend morning coffee reading addiction.
    Long live TRJ.

Steve, looks like you havnt been on the hamb to long so I’ll clue you in to the typical rodders journal time line. After everyone gets an issue it’s about a year or year and a half and then they say “hey everybody next ones in the mail!” Then about three months later people get them and the cycle starts over. So roughly an issue every 15 months or so. This cycle seems to be an extra couple of months longer.

you’re not being singled out. I’m sure when the new issue starts showing up in mail boxes one will show up to yours as well.

people keep mentioning about being told that their subscription ran out, or is about run out. if each of these subscribers have not received the complete number of issues each year no way can they be dropped. the publisher is obligated to produce what individuals signed up for.

From my experience I’ve never been slighted regarding what I paid for, I’ve always subscribed for a one or two year term, never did the lifetime thing. The problem is the magazine was never really a quarterly as it was presented, except maybe in the first few years. My last sub was for four issues, one year, no idea how long ago I sent that payment in but #87 closes out my subscription. Great content, printed on nice stock and Steve’s use of perfect binding where the pages are glued together and then the cover glued on pretty much ensure it won’t fall apart. To me it was always a book, not just a magazine. It’s the erratic publishing timetable that killed it for me.

I'm wishing Steve the best. Things are certainly looking grim these days, but .... I'd love seeing Lane's Jag in print! Watched the Leno show, it's what I'd call a resto rod, tea bagger or not!!!

It seems to be that time frame is enough to keep the wolves from the door. After all, it has become the norm.
Sounds like a good gig to me.
And yes, I have been called pessimistic every now and then. I like to think of it as being pragmatic.....:)
