When I signed up to the HAMB I couldn't think of a good name so I just used the name I gave my first ride... a green razor scooter (GreenBlade) images (1).jpeg silly name, I would choose a different name if I were to sign up today but people know me as GreenBlade here so I won't change it.

    Thirdyfivepickup...

My pops picked up a creampuff 35 Ford pickup back in like 2003 or so. I picked this screen name hoping to get some knowledge and help him source parts/ideas for it and to document his progress.

It's still in pieces (for sale even)

All I ended up doing on here is piss people off and meet some pretty cool people.

    Viva la HAMB

One of my early mentors was the Body Shop manager at the local Chevy dealership where I worked for 16 years. He was called Dusty from all the Bondo dust. Awesome guy, helped me a bunch with cars, motorcycles and general life info.

When computers first came on big in the early 1990's I was drag racing Fox Bodies. "Mustang" hence they were an native American war horse. My drag racing moniker was War Horse Racing. Combined the three words and viola. "Warhorseracing".

I've had Crosleys on the brain since the mid '90s and used crosleykook as my ebay handle way back then. At the time, ebay users could message each other (like if you were both bidding on the same item) and it was cool that other Crosley-interested ebayers could see my username and reach out. It was hard to find likeminded weirdos back then! The nickname stuck and I've used it on various platforms... and my wife used it as a title of a short movie!

  11. I was playing in a blues band when I started here so I used a famous blues guys name John Lee Williamson. My name is John Williamson so I just threw in the "Lee" middle name

If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't use what I picked.
If I joined today, I would go with my name, area, possible combination of both.
When I joined in 2009 I was building a '40 Ford pickup, so without any serious thought, I went with 40FORDPU...should have chosen a lesser specific user name.
    I still have a '40 Ford p/u (a different one), but I have/had a variety of other cars.

  13. Back when I was in High School, I drove a school bus. One of my fellow drivers was into model Ts. I would go over on weekends to help him. One day he stated- "you sure like banging on that old tin" and called me "banging" after that. It just came to mind when I joined the HAMB.

Jimmy Hair, my high school nickname was B’rer Hair. It is not PC anymore but growing up in Atlanta, Joel Chandler Harris was an Atlanta favorite son, and we all grew up with B’rer Rabbit and the Uncle Remus stories.

so back when Dallas was on TV, my good ol' boy buddies called me J.R. from my initials. They pronounce it "jar". I have a plethora of disassembled old cars, bikes, and whatnot which will run again someday, on other fora I have usernames associated with my other cars and stuff, on this forum I chose to simplify.

That's Mrs. Bandit Billy in Frog's chair, my Stetson on the CB antenna, on one of several rotisserie restored 77 SE T/As I built over the years, thus the user name. I'm 10-10 on the side good buddy.

  18. I am a retired over-the-road truck driver and Grumpy was my c.b. handle. When I joined up, 17 years ago, there already was someone here that went by Grumpy. So I lied and claimed that I was first.
