Man, fellas, it has sure been a long time to make the loop back around to this place, settled down enough to start thinking about building another hot rod, a building to do it in and all before I kick the bucket! I'm not so "youngin" anymore and it doesn't look like many of you grey beards are, either!

Little brief time line to come full circle:

-was around here a lot back in the early days- who remembers Germ wars?
    -built a garage around 03
    -built the little roadster
-sold it around 08 to buy a tractor and some land- sold it around 16
    -had two more rug rats
-started a business and sold it 12-16
-lost my grandpad (Hot Rod Holmes) from whom all the photos were from when I used to post them up on here
    -moved a couple times
-lost all my tools, in a terrible garage fire- thankfully, I was diversified and all my left-over hot rod parts and a 1000mi NOS flatty was at a friends house!
    -changed careers
    -i'm a grandpa!
-downsized homes, bought an old farm, 1935 house needs work but I love the 60 acres of mostly woods....trying to live simple and cheap

Wow, where did it all go!!?? I never thought it would take almost 20 years to get back to hot rods. It certainly has been a long time coming and here's the beginning of moving all my junk to under one roof again and being able to get another old hot rod going again....

(pic from my phone in a few min)

It sure is good to be back here, I surely did miss y'all!

Congrats on a new start:) Your building does induce some envy though! Add insulation and heat and you have a playhouse for the rest of your life!!

I do recall your screen name back when I enlisted here. Glad to see you’re back at doing what you want and how you want. And where you want!

I was trying to figure out if your Ole' Timers was kicking in and couldn't figure out where Mt Pleasant is....

Point Pleasant! Where @Ryan organized the first HAMB drive-in movie.....good times!

No, I was near Portsmouth, Ohio and just basically moved across the river to KY..... if you head down this way, give me a hollar! If you hear banjos playing, you may not want to stop...

  13. I wondered what happened to you. You were a teacher right?
