This is such a great looking car, there has to be some magazine coverage from back in the day. Wood Butchers Special, Terre Co. Whittier. I've done a couple of searches, haven't found anything.

 

The Wood Butchers coupe appeared in Popular Hot Rodding, IIRC it was a one page spread. I’ll check, might still have that issue.
Edit- I went through a dozen issues from ‘63-‘64 and didn’t find it, either that one was misplaced or tossed out.

 

Found it, it was in the August 1964 Popular Hot Rodding. I had that issue set aside, McMullen's Highboy chassis and blown SBC is on the cover.

 

Gets the award for "best use for a casino".

 

Must of hit it big he’s spending the awards on his car !

 

Looks like either gambling paid off well and he is spending the money on hot rod parts, or it didn't work out well at all and the hot rod is paying off the gambling debt one part at a time.
I suppose it could have been the only parking lot available to fix the broken hot rod, or we are spending the night here because the broken hot rod won't go any farther.
