Well, after several hours of drilling, hammering and prying only to be rewarded with a rotten, mangled flange to repair, I can see why!

Taking stock of the sheer amount of rust repair and metal shaping that needs to happen has me second guessing my plan of restoring as much of the Ford sheet metal as possible. I know Brookville panels are no cakewalk, but at least I wouldn’t have rust repair on every single seam. I’ve had these Brookville doors for a bit so I’ll dip my toe in. Man is the fit awful at the cowl. Probably 1/2” gap on the bottom a pillar side. All I can think to do is modify the hinges. Any thoughts? IMG_4489.jpeg IMG_4490.jpeg
