It's like your standard can-and-string phone, but you don't take the lids all the way off Cheers, Harv
Jim, I'm sure you know this but double check your filter. Any leak that allows air into the inlet will cause a noise like you describe. Recently, I poked a little hole in a ST400 filer while installing it and it was driving me crazy until I pulled it off and found the culprit.
This needs to be in front of me, not down where the cup holder is (which also has a holder for my real phone). Just for fun I turned off wifi on the cheap dash phone last night, and let it sit overnight, and the battery went from 96% charge to 95% charge. So it has very little battery drain in standby mode. I'll play with the 2 step some more today, I'll drop the timing down to zero in the area of -1 to +10 psi boost, 2000-2200 rpm and see what it does. And probably just ignore the transmission until it blows up. Or do something with it if I get some inspiration. I had a similar problem with my 55 years ago, it would buzz when cold, when the filter was getting a bit plugged.
Jim, the chart looks okay except the AFR during the stall portion. I'm guessing it was on the 2 step and the ignition was holding RPM, which is why the AFR went way high? No ignition means oxygen is not ignited, which means more oxygen in the exhaust.
That’s what I do when Sire keeps getting it wrong because if I say you **** it tells me I’m not nice…
If you could get your 60’ down in the 1.40 range and take the difference off your ET that would be worth a smile…
It's certainly making power. 129 mph is typically in the 10.30 ET range in a naturally aspirated car with good 60'.
Search internet easy to find formulas use weight, et, or mph to calculate horsepower.; come up with 2 numbers. Mismatch usually means tire spin. With a turbo, mismatch means top end horsepower not there at the start
not a stock converter. Notice in the datalog I didn't have the throttle open all the way when I was trying to build boost, that doesn't work. I'll play with it some more.
Went back to the tune I had on drag week. Just foot braked without the two step. Quickest p*** yet. Still has a dismal 60 ft, but mph is good. I probably won't run again until the beater race tonight.
Just sipping… waiting on an up date. Mean time Jim we gotta head back to the track this morning. Gene struck a deal yesterday to buy a 70 Chevelle. Now the complex part. Getting two cars back home on a one car trailer.
That conundrum reminds me of my demolition derby days. We would sometimes buy a compe***ors car and then need to figure out how to get it home. Usually we stacked them on the rollback
