I'd think Navigators seat or gunners/crew seat.

Don’t forget this is CAN$, but still expensive. The construction seems to be incredibly strong. A couple folks posted on marketplace that they could build a custom bomber seat for between CAN$600 - $800.

That shade of green can be Viet Nam era stuff. Also, can be lightened up from sun exposure

Pretty sure this is one in action. RAF Lockheed Hudson MK1 - June of 1940....looks like the bombardier? The horizontal ribs and snap fasteners for the seat cushions match as do the wide seat belt (unlatched and hanging loose) and the riveted seat belt attachment is in the same location.

Amazing work! Now I’m curious as to the material - duralium?

Crazy. I was thinking some sort of trainer due to the barrel bottom and the off color, but HAMB and @Joe Blow come through.

Lockheed Hudson. NZ got about 100 during WW2. Mine is the bomb aimer's seat. The stand had rollers on it that would allow it to roll out into the Perspex bubble on the front of the aircraft, while flak was going off, I imagine. I'll be sitting in mine while I aim my bomb (T roadster).

He's wearing a Wireless Operator badge on his sleeve. The Wireless Operator doubled up as a WO and Air-Gunner on the Hudson.

Here's the Lockheed Hudson seat in the link by Joe Blow. The linked website warned me that I might be traumatized by looking at it, but I did it anyway for you guys:

Thanks. somehow the proportions are off to look good. And, I suspect, not to many 2025*****s would be comfortable in that space!

Wireless operators Seat : Lockhead Hudson.

Pressed duralium bucket seat mounted on a tubular mounting pedestal. The seat is constructed from a pair of overlapping upper and lower sections, finished with rivetted edge beading. The upper section is fitted with nine lift-the-dot fixtures, while the lower section is fitted with sixteen snap fasteners - all designed to attach the separate seat cusions. One of each fitting is missing. A pair of safety harness fittings are rivetted to the upper part of the seat. The 346 mm high pedestal is rivetted to the seat and has a circular flange rivetted to the base.

I’m sure folks restoring the Hudson in Trenton, ON would like to get their hands on it. Haha!

My Mom used to say that dirt is matter out of place. That seat will look great back in its historic airplane. THIS, too, is built for function, not beauty and also not going in any of my cars. :)

Definitely a seat built for a purpose, not for comfort. But $1200 is sky high , maybe they are high.??? Semi rare but not at that price. I have a couple of buddies that have have better ones as office chairs, with original padding.

Here's the likely source of my seat, which I bought from a local scrap metal dealer. I live a few miles from where this dump was located. You can see the Hudsons lined up ready to be scrapped.

Amazing junkyard, Gofannon. When was the film made?
The credits say 2025, which I think is merely when it was digitized.
