I wouldn't subject a disposable transportation appliance to this! What an idiot.

I guarantee you 100% that if this car is not taken completely apart and I mean every single part the Bonneville salt is currently doing its job of rusting every part. Even the “vapor” of salt air can get to inner panel factory body welds to start the “rust never sleeps” motto.
Cast iron parts like brakes and exposed block surfaces start quick as do aluminum parts that soon look like Alka-Selzer!
Then again some people don’t care and sell off the problem… let the buyer beware!

I just assume that's Bonneville. I grew up in Dubuque Iowa. If you've not been there, it's Geographically weird for Iowa; a city built into seven very steep bluffs, and some severe winters, with snow. How to traverse the hills? Salt, salt and more salt! All I saw as a kid in the 70's and 80's was rotted out sheet metal on cars less than 5 years old. Every bolt in a junkyard permanently locked into place by the rust monster. Nothing old had a chance. Fast forward to me moving south and finding these rust free gems here, then discovering Land speed racing with the ECTA. Speed on pavement. Perfect, because no matter how romantic, there's no way this Dubuque kid is gonna subject his precious southern found iron to Bonneville!

Talk about salt, I'm from Buffalo NY originally. This is the normal there!

That’s an Indiana truck. In the winter we have more salt on the roads than Bonneville!

I live in Illinois, you guys actually have roads to drive on???? We have pot holes, cracks, and patches of broken up asphalt they call roads here. The only time they are smooth is when the dump the 6" thick salt blanket on them to melt the 1/4" of snow. All of the cars and trucks that are driven on our wonderful roads turn white after a snow experience because of the large amount of salt they think they need to add on top of the road surface.
