Im building a t coupe on model a frame with 302 ford. Curious what radiator everyone is using. Will only have a alternator, no ac manual trans, so i dont need a trans cooler. Dont want to spend 1200 for a custom if i can avoid it. Still searching, seem I read about a early mustang radiator but not sure. Any help appreciated.
Champion aluminum radiator for a '28-'29 Model A from ebay. Mine cost about $200. Cools my hemi. They sell them in a few different configurations. Get one for Ford as Chevy is opposite. Dave
I used a '66 Mustang radiator in my 26 T with a Model AA grille shell and a 302. I'll have to load a picture up to see if it would work for you. Running stock 26 boxed frame. You can see the outline of it behind the grille.
I have one of those aluminum radiators brand new to sell but alas, it has Chevy outlet for the bottom hose. Wrong side for a ford motored hotrod.
Depends on which small block water pump you use. Ford used both sides pump inlets in the '60s before settling on the drivers side in '71. Most of the intermediates used passenger side, most full size used drivers side.
. . . and the 32 is taller than both of them. So many As get looking strange when they use the 32 without shortening them to follow the lines of the A's cowl. And the radiator rod braces just complicate the strange uphill looking view.
@willymakeit I just noticed your user name! I'm working on a friend of mine's 1920 Dodge Brothers Touring car that has a Willys F-Head 4 cyl engine, 3 spd O/D and Studebaker rear end. I have always called it his WillyMakeIt Dodge ! It used to be hit or miss if it will make it! On your T&A, I have done 3 Model T roadster pickups on Model A chassis. I used a wood 2x6 cut to fit between the body and frame to raise the body to make things fit better, like steering column etc and to make cowl same height as '28-'29 radiator shell. Using Model A bed was easiest but I did T beds too. I place the firewall as close as practicle to the back of the engine. Dave
Thanks I got name from friend of mine back in the 70's a sculptor who used this name doing his caricatures
