I'm in the process of un-street rodding a 32 5 window. I bought a decent original windshield frame and am taking it apart to have chromed but have run into a problem removing the slider brackets. I was able to remove the two screws but it is still attached to the frame and appears it might be spot-welded 32FordWindshieldSliderBracket.jpg but I dont recognize this type spot weld if it is that. In the attached pic you can see the square area with two indented "bar" shapes either side. Is this a Ford spot-weld?? I dont want to ruin the frame and maybe will have to rethink the chrome idea. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Larry

You’ll also find the hinge brackets are spot welded too. Hundreds of windshield frames have been chromed without removing these.

Sorry for the delay in responding but I have been away from my computer. Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. I will remove the screws and leave the brackets for chrome. Thanks again.
