I recall that interaction, exactly where it was at and where your car was parked. 2022, I believe?

I had a black 39 deluxe 4 door, I was parked by Roothawg’s 35 Pickup next to the building overlooking the lake, we were standing next to the green 60 Chevy wagon that I think is from Nebraska. That’s the best my memory can do, and yes it was ‘22.

I wasn't sure if the steering had been changed to right side is why I thought Steve was passenger side.

Fist met Aussie Steve in 1986 He was living in Monrovia CA- I believe. He was always driving the back alley ways of So Cal looking for hot rods. My father bought a Lincoln MIG welder for us to use (we had no money) and it got used a lot and Aussie Steve was always borrowing it. He helped my brother find parts and was always walking Pomona swap meet with us. He got my brother a 32 tudor sedan body! Was always checking in at my fathers tire shop and changing up wheels and tires. An all around great guy in so many ways. So sad to hear of his passing. He was a wealth of knowledge and had an amazing collection of early hot rod photos. RIP brother.

One of "Aussie Steve's closest friends Ben Delozier has organized a celebration of life and tribute to our dear departed hot rod pal. It will be an informal gathering of his friends from a life time of hot rodding, it will held at "Rosie's Twin Keg" tavern 413 W. Thompson Lane Nashville Tn. 37211 beginning at 2 PM Sunday Nov. 16th, 2025.
There will be toast made and stories told.
Rosie's looks like exactly the kind of establishment that Steve would have been right at home in.
The second photo is Steve and Ben enjoying a drink on my back deck a few months ago.
The third is me, Aussie Steve, Little Aussie Steve Blatt ( who will be there), and Russell "Duck" Guy. The fourth you can imagine what a great evening it was having these three as house guest.
