Technical Brake drum seal 53 customline

    Hi, wich Position of the brake drum seal is the right one?

    Looks like both pictures are in backwards to me.

    the seal is backwards, and it is supposed to be flush with the end of the hole, not sunk in.

    It looks like who ever put that seal in is used to changing or packing wheel bearings on boat trailers without brakes as reversing the seal is common on them to keep the water out and let the grease ooze out if you have bearing buddies with a grease fitting on them. Screenshot (1284).png

    I thought that but looking at the second pic the taper on the actual lip seal part seems to be oriented the way would expect.

    The spring goes to the grease side. Helps the spring not get rusty

    I have always followed, The lip of the seal faces the oil or grease in this case.
