    Okay, I screwed up. After I have ***embled EVERYTHING, I found I did not put together the right pieces of my transmission. The result is that I have to fill the transmission through a 1/4 inch hole in the top cover that is only accessable under the dashboard. So there is very little room. I need to put in 1 1/2 quarts of motor oil. Since this is a VERY creative group, I am open to suggestions (I do not want to take everything apart again!).

    I used one of those cheap pump sprayers for something similar. Worked better than I thought it would.

    Agree 100%. Got the Home Depot version and used it to pre-oil my flathead. Cut off the sprayer tip/nozzle and adapt as required.

    That does sound like a problem. Does this trans have some kind of vent somewhere, or is the 1/4" tube the vent? I ask because as you put fluid in, you're going to have to allow air out.
    This is going to take FOREVER!

    I watched a show last night where they drank a shot of vodka and yak sperm. That has nothing to do with anything but worthy of mention. You need to force it down. Gravity is not your friend. I use a pump much like @Ziggster showed to fill ******s and diffs. Work great and especially in confined spaces. Too bad it is inside the car under the dash but it is what it is. Nostrovia!

    I made an oil pumper from a pump action one gallon hand cleaner container and some narrow bore hose. The pump mechanism screws straight onto oil containers. Works great! Less of a workout than I thought. Great for transmissions and axles. Surprisingly clean too. Previously I always made a terrible mess with squeeze action bottles.

    I would use a undercoating gun,i have one that holds a quart of fluid and is air powered,it has a small end/nozzle the size of brake line tubing,i dont have a picture of it,but should be easy to find one,wasnt expensive.

    Janius……you might get better advice on this question if you can tell us more. You might possibly get bad advice if everyone misunderstands your question. Do yourself (and everyone here trying to help) a favor and come back to the forum with some details. Even if you solved the problem, it might help others who have faced a similar issue. So……
    * specifically which transmission?
    * what model vehicle?
    A photo of the setup would also be very helpful. We often “see” the situation differently and might be offering a solution that doesn’t address your problem correctly.

  30. I have used a big-***ed syringe fitted with thin flexible tubing. It holds about 150ml.
