[IMG] Would you buy a Mercury windshield seal?
This thread pertains to 1939 and 1940 Mercury cars. The purpose is to determine if there are enthusiasts who need and would commit to buying (pre-pay) a new windshield seal for these cars. There is basically one manufacturer who produces these quality seals and the last production was close to 20 years ago. If there are enough buyers who would definitely purchase one, it might be worth it for the company to do a run. At this initial stage there are no prices to attach to the commitment, but a realistic "I'm in" is what is needed to move forward.

I am just learning the differences, but I believe the ‘40 Ford is a two piece seal (L&R) and does not have the groove for the stainless surround. If that is not correct. Someone please school me.

Interested. Keep me in the loop. I'm sure I can get at least 5-10 people on board.

I don't have a need for one, but I'll give your thread a bump since it seems like a worthwhile project.

With all the Mercs being built in the last couple of years and being built now I can't imagine there's not at least 25 needed. And I bet the Merc building guys would take extra. How many do you need?

Not sure yet how many we would need for them to do a run, trying to gauge interest to start the conversation.

If you chop a 39/40 Merc you can use a 46-48 ford p***ager seal
