Besides AlkyDigger & Deans Blowers who else sells "USED" blower parts. Looking to change this BBC 2" system ( to wimpy ) to a 3".? Thanks!

ebay used to have a bunch, but it's gone downhill lately. I ran 9s with a 2" belt, how fast are you gonna go with it? not with that intake, I hope
You currently have a drive and 4 barrel manifold modified by Gary Dyer, have you asked him about the cost of 3” stuff? And I agree with @squirrel, do you really need the 3” pulleys?
I don't really need 36" total rubber out back either, going for "eye satisfaction" instead of total performance. This motor was in a V-Drive with little clearance to the transom or it would have already a 3", but I get where you racers are coming from! Thanks Fordors for ID of intake!
I ran 9s with a 2" belt, how fast are you gonna go with it? not with that intake, I hope
I have other manifolds to run, like this one for the "nostalgic" feeling!
that's a good reason. I got an early Weiand for that nostalgic feeling....but it was kind of a pain to make it work well. I ended up getting it grooved for an O ring.
Depending on what pulleys you need I may have some used in both 1/2 pitch and 8mm. I am always looking for 2" pulleys.
Back in early 90s 2 inch wide 1/2 drive 155 mph in 1/4 8k rpm before kevlar About 5k DD miles before belt would give up , Now there's Kevlar's and other materials ,, I also buy 4 & 6 wide belt Cut , 4 inch belt made 2 belts , 6 inch wide made 3 belts or 6 inch wide made 2 3inch belts & For Me I do not like the idler on the snout , I prefer to blower case or off the water pump area,
Used to be that National Dragster was the place but that may not be the case anymore. The used market may not in use anymore.
Looking for 1/2" pitch, top gear, bottom gear, idler & belts. I have a complete setup for BBC 2" to sell or trade or?
To add to my post #12 The Non Kevlar belt was 2 inch 1/2 drive SBC 7,800- 8k rpm's. Then I purchased a allotment of 50-60 8mm pulleys when local racer I knew Stitched to 13 & 14 mm, I just stick to 8 mm even if only run 2 psi Just because I can . Even when the 140 something came out by B&M in 80s I contacted RCD Engineering to make me 8mm ,changed out the 6 rib That slipped @ 5psi to 8mm. @ that time all other I was competing against the ones I knew running Vortc , pacston B&M slipping . Then on one of my engine's I ran /run Kevlar 14 mm @ 10,000 rpms BB
"For Me I do not like the idler on the snout , I prefer to blower case or off the water pump area,
" Yes I to like the belt farther to the pass. side, but already have the snout mount.
Gary Dyer's is building me a blower set up, but let me tell you, It takes some time as he only works a couple days a week.
" Yes I to like the belt farther to the pass. side, but already have the snout mount.
I know not most have all theses parts just laying around but when you've done this pretty much your whole life and you never get rid of anything Just a few in one place
I buy a lot of stuff from Good Vibrations Racing, I've bought several used pulleys that look like new, the link was posted above, then click on used parts. Like mentioned you do tind to accumulate parts
I have cut a bunch down that I have. brigrat, what tooth count are your 2" pulleys? I will see what I have left in 3" 1/2 pitch. I have a few belts if you know how long you need.
Here's what I have. Not looking for shinny new 3" parts, vintage character is fine with me. 1 to 1 ratio or so! Haven't figured out how to safely separate the Alt. pully's from bottom gear, must be a press fit? Don't want to get rid of those till I have the 3" gears/pully's all lined up. Also looking for a vintage Aluminum Finned timing chain cover AND get rid of the snout mounted "Idler" for a vintage looking block/water pump mount. Thanks!
You can make your own idler bracket from 1/2" aluminum plate, although it helps to have a mill to cut the slot, it's not necessary, just drill a couple holes and saw between them.
I used to hang out at racing junk when I had a track car. Have no idea if it's still useful, and of course, it's a lot of private sellers so just a narrow focus FB. There may be some businesses that use it to advertise, too.
Yes, using what I have laying around the shop, no compition just street use. And no, crank is not double keyed. 427 crank. Got any vintage looking timing covers? Thanks!
