    Cool car. Great story.
    Thanks for posting.
    But it's a 3-window, not 5.

What a heart breaker! Boy, been there, done that. I had the same kinda deal play out with the cam in my hemi Studebaker. I spent months and thousand$ refreshing, and with literally 13 days to go, on a test drive, it ate a lifter at a stop sign in my neighborhood. Some days you just gotta walk away. Good on him for spending the weekend with the family. You can always get back after it later, but that daughter will only be that age for a minute. Little girl is a sweeetheart.

    Great Dude.

  7. I have known Paul a long time since 2001 or 2002. I was going through some old photographs I had taken and found one of them sitting on the wheel of his 32 409 powered roadster (that engine is now in his 32 sedan) at Ralph’s diner (Worcester M***.) in ‘02 and sent it to him.

He thinks it is the only photo ever taken of him in his Rumblers prospect shirt and definitely the only one he has ever seen.

Remember a time when we used film?

  8. If you can’t relate to that you’re not a racer, hot rodder, or a true car guy!

This is also what the whole automotive lifestyle needs, family!

It has became a high dollar, rich guy **** swinging contest! If you go to a main stream automotive event many people aren’t talking cars, racing, history or family.

They are talking about their investments, their golf game/or some other ridiculous unrelated ball and stick activity nonsense and very rarely at those type of events do you see families!

They are your stereotypical knee pants wearing lawn chair 70 somethings recovering tweed and billet Boyd worshipers.

I'm sure it's a great story but without captions, can't understand a word he is saying. Typical of amateur videos, not enough preparation before posting.

  10. I could understand every word he said and according to the last work required hearing test I have hearing damage, boarding on the line of hearing loss.

    I'm way beyond that, dude.

  12. Do not call me dude!

Next if you know you have hearing issues and then complain you can't hear or understand a YouTube video?

It's YouTube not a Hollywood production!

That's kind of like going to a strip club and complaining that you saw ****s!

You are only person who felt the need to comment negatively on this video, which only goes to strengthen my point about everything that is wrong with the hot rod scene. It seems that no one or at least very few can appreciate the hard work, skill and knowledge other put into a project or just studying and preserving the history.

If something doesn't meet with their standards, they feel the need to **** all over it!

There are many parts of the automotive lifestyle I don't care for however I car respect them.

I am not of fan of ball and stick actives, but I can respect people who are true fans, the ones who understand the rules and history, not the people who just sit on the couch drinking beer yelling at the T.V.

I liked the video, but was sure it would have a happy ending. And then…

    That’s hot rodding!

Little overboard, aren't you? I love to appreciate the "hard work, skill and Knowledge" but I simply couldn't hear him. At 81, I've been around a while, many of my age don't hear as well as perfect people like you. We are used to being ignored by people like yourself.

I didn't mind the video, just a guy telling his story through a regular ol recording device.
Is there a part 2 to it, where he gets it back together ?

  16. Actually quite the opposite most of my friends are 20, 30 even 40 years older then myself and the few friends I have my age are like myself and have a great deal of respect for the past, the history and the men and women who made it.

I understand you may not have been able to hear/understand what was being said in this video, however there is a tactful way of saying it.

Paul is a working cl*** guy, is a manager in a concrete batch plant, a family man with a family hot rod history,

As far as shooting, editing, and uploading a video given the fact it is just a “hobby” I think he did a good job, particularly since I wouldn’t have a clue how to do any of it.

I was interviewed a Miller welders promo video. the interview view was over an hour my foreman was interviewed for close to two and a half hours, they shoot 3 full days of 8 hour days in the shop, and ended up as a less than 10 minute YouTube video.

So few people realize the amount of work that goes into something like that, just as many people don’t realize how much work goes into building a car.
