I have a Powermaster 82013 with a 131mm (5.1") crank pulley on a flathead V8. I added an adapter to the original fan, but it still won't charge at idle. It seems like the alternator pulley is too big. What kind of alternator pulley do you use?

What size charge Ga wire size from Alt to batt ? For 90amp Alt.
For like 4 ish feet or less Wire ga needed will need #6 minimum
    To like #4 ga.
What are your rpms @ idle ? Engine .
Then how many 100's do have to speed up when starts a charge .
Also do you access to a rpm gauge
One that you use a Reflected tape to see how fast its turning or even a Mechanical hand held S-W , not the engine Rpm's.
    Crank pulley speed
    & Alt pulley speed,

What size belts are you running on the engine?
Many guys don’t understand the idea of proper belt tension and fit. If you are running a wide belt I can hook you up with a fellow who makes the proper generator pulleys for your application.
    • Match the pulley groove: Ensure the belt is the correct type for the pulley's groove. For example, a V-belt should fit snugly in a V-groove, with the sides of the belt making contact and the bottom of the belt not touching the bottom of the groove.

I used to work third shift maintenance at an aerospace composite company, and we used to have to enter shift reports into the system, supposedly so management could ****yze the information to resolve repeating issues. One night the other maintenance tech I worked with wondered if anyone actually read the reports, as nothing ever got resolved. I decided to find out, so I started putting my reports into Google Translator, and submitting my reports in French, Spanish, German, Korean, Mandarin, Swahili, Tonga, and whatever else struck my fancy. After doing that for several months and not getting any complaints, we came to the conclusion that management must be multilingual :)
