    Machine shop work is PRICEY. At least the head work was on my Inline Eight.

    Smoking good news there Jeff!!!
    I lost the machinist that had been doing my work since the late 60's ....he deserved to retire...and I believe the first line was actually labor to dis***emble and clean those nasty, dirty heads you got from me....
    gonna be a great cruiser again....

    Well, the car has been sitting out behind the shop under the lean too over the winter because we were working on other stuff. However, I was able to get two cars out and back on the road in the last few days, so I moved the 56 back in. I hadn't started it in a while and had to put the battery charger on it. But, it still sounds ok for a worn out y-block. I just really need to get it cleaned up and the new motor and transmission in it. :oops:
