With the old tires, was it too much bite or not enough?

 

I went from 10.5 to 9 inch wide. The car always seemed to have a better ET with a little tire slip off the line.

 

Loaded up for possibly the last outing for the season. Heading down to Mo-Kan in the morning. If anyone is going there stop and say hi.

 

Let's see how those 9-inchers do. The weather's going to be perfect.

 

Made it to the track. Cool and a little tail wind.

 

Got my hood lettered while I was there.
I post all my time slips a little later, did get 8 runs in today.

 

I was car # 13. Had a good day, the driver needs to knock the rust off but the car was very consistent and ran flawless. Think the 9 inch slicks are a good fit for the car at it's power level. All in all I call it a success and drove it on the trailer so it is ready for more track time in the future.

Thought this 3 consecutive set of runs was getting closer to where I need to be.

 

Tires question answered. Nothing like facts to prove a theory, especially when they're consistent.

I'm trying to get back in the saddle after the 7 year absence and learning a different car. Been big fun.

 

My good friend Nathan let me use some of his shop space to winter the. I tried to start it but it was having none of that.

 

Man, that Nova had the shakes!

 

I may have scared him a little

 

I have been working on a list of upgrades and thing that need to be finished during the off season. I'll need to figure out how to get some heat in this building if I want to work on it in here.

 

Got my email conformation this morning of being accepted to the Fallout Drags in September.
