Me and my dad pulled the 235 out of my Biscane . That is a heavy furker !!! Looks like I popped a seal on the engine crane ,and its not my crane !
Checked the big ends they look ok , but I need a set of pistion rings .Looks like the oil has never been changed .Thats why the rockers were so badly worn with 85000 miles on the engine . Why do people not change oil its no big deal!!
Oh and if your dad is still around get into the garage with him , my olw boy is a good engine guy , he was bustin to have a look inside the 235.

Sunday went and picked up a used 7000 LB 2 post lift for the shop. Might have to pour some more concrete now to get it set up. Swapped a roller rear end into the 39 coupe. Saturday went to an auction and tried to buy an original 39 Ford 3/4 ton pickup. Decent old truck, but it went home with someone else.

WOW - sounds like you have a real winner there... I wonder if all the "work" was done by 1 moron or if a whole gaggle of them desended on the car.

I have always loved the way that those 409 valve covers look.
    Nice headers!

Sunday. I powered washed the replacement trans for the thunder-turd. I pickup a tail shaft seal from the auto parts store that of course was the wrong one. Dropped the cursed-o-matic trans from the thunderbird,Which is a all day job with in itself, and right before i went to install the new one i got a call, My 7 year old while attemping to hit a golf ball with a golf club on the return swing cracked His 5 year old brother right between the eyes with the club. 6 stiches later and alot of blood i decied to call it a night.

I had a massive 7 hour garage cleaning. I found lots of stuff to peddle at the swap meet this weekend to fundraise for the tanker. I got everything all set up for PeteJoe to come over and help me brace the bed on my 48 GMC. Hopefully all of this cleaning will save me the time (and shin bruises) of tripping over everything. It would also be nice to be able to park my daily driver in one of my eight bays before the snow flies : )

Actually the weekend started early on Friday. I had to rent a trailer to haul parts to the swap meet on Saturday so I picked it up early Friday. So...
    1. I picked up the front frame clip with complete suspension from a Dodge Dakota at the junkyard. This the front suspension parts for the Ind. Chassis Dakota front end for my 48 F1 pickup project.
    2. On the way home I stopped at the car wash and cleaned off the frame clip with degreaser and high pressure water.
    3. Unloaded the frame clip and loaded the heavy parts to sell on Sat. at the swap meet.
    4. Hauled parts Saturday AM to the Arizona Street Rod Assn. Swap Meet in Mesa. Actually sold parts and made money.
    5. Sunday I started taking apart the Dakota clip so I can have the parts I need and scrap the frame clip. More to do here.
    6. Figured out how to make a fixture to compress the coil springs on the Dakota to be able to disassemble them without killing myself. Made a parts list.

    All-in-all a pretty productive weekend hot rodding-wise.

  13. I finally got sarted on the coupe and tore all the sheet metal off the front end. Picked up the hoist from dad so I can pull the engine and trans. Hopefully this week I'll get the body pulled off...not enought hours in my day sometimes.

finally got an official start to our new project- this is nowhere close to what it will look like, this is just to get the body on there for mounts.......:D Stay tuned

we want to use these wheels, but obviously the fronts will need much smaller rubber, and probably be narrowed a couple inches depending on time/cost

HAMBer Josh5762 picked up our T project so we have room to get going on this on. Will be done by Viva, promise!

Cut all the rusted floors out of my Plymouth c-dan, Made new body supports, made all the pieces for the floor pan and welded the whole thing together, at least the passenger side. Save the drivers side for another day.

Got the 3W seat back together. Had the original 32 metal seat frame Powder Coated ... plus all the other little pieces. My original seat tracks were missing so I have a set of universal ones off eBay. Works great and has more forward/backward travel than the original 32 Ford ones.

Got it back in the coupe so it will be out of the way and I can work on another phase of the coupe. I want to ride

I managed to punch my fever all the way up to 102 before the doctor's office opened today. That ought to be worth some kind of a medal. ;-)

I hate this, too... would have been a GREAT weekend for some Hudson work.

No they were put in before we got our hands on it, they are going to be great in the summer. Who ever put them in did a real nice job though.

I finally got the patch panels welded in the rear floor in the coupe along with the underside of the whole thing coated with POR15. I also got enough people to help me get the body placed back on the chassis for what I hope is the last time.

After that, I got the throttle pedal installed along with the new cable. So now all three pedals are functioning!

I also got hooked up with a guy here locally who I'm going to be trading some signs for an upholstered seat for the coupe... more on that later.
