This past summer we sold our nearly new, but far away, cabin and bought a lake home that is 45 minutes north of the twin cities metro area. We bought it from the original owners. They had the home built in 1977 from plans they mail-ordered from Better Homes and Gardens magazine. I thought I would be getting back on the Studebaker, but the “new” house is consuming all of my free time. I never thought I would own such an amazing and unique property. I could go on and on about the house, but the focus of this site is obviously not houses. I have seen a few homes of other members in the background of photos, and some of you guys own some seriously cool properties. I’d love to see a “cool house” thread, but that’s probably not going to happen. Either way, slightly reluctantly, here’s a couple photos of our new shack…

To quickly bring this thread back to the proper subject manner, I did recently purchase the correct shifter handle (dang, those things aren’t cheap!) in anticipation of*****oning up the floor and trans tunnel. The plan is to get the pedal****embly installed and then, instead of pulling the body off again, move forward with the front end sheetmetal install. Flip front end? Not sure yet. As I mentioned previously, I’ve never seen this car fully****embled.

Nice property! Maybe you could start a "Cool Cars in front of Cool Homes" thread!

We all have diversions from our hot rod projects, some are better than others (!). I think others will agree when I say, I’m very glad it was a pleasant diversion and not a medical one.
Great thread…. Thanks for the update

10 years or so ago, I had some that was not galvanized. I searched my local sources for it, but could only find galvanized. I’m****uming it still is available, but I couldn’t find any.
